About Score the Board
Score the Board is a free score sheet and rules reference for people who play Scrabble® at home with family and friends.
Why it exists
It started during a four-player game at home. The score sheet was built while the game was being played, and each feature was added because something came up at the table:
- a way to delete a row typed by mistake,
- separate rows for leftover tiles and for the player who went out,
- a turn timer with a chime that is noticeable without making anyone jump.
The rules and word pages grew from the same arguments.
How we check things
Word lists on this site are generated from Collins Scrabble Words, the official list for UK and international play, rather than typed by hand. Rules are written in our own words and checked against the standard game rules and published club rules. Where home and club rules differ, we say so.
Spotted a mistake? Please tell us. We would rather fix it than have it settle a game the wrong way.
Your data
